The ride was established in 2003 and goes from strength to strength each year with constant changes to the course route and new jumps to please all levels of riders. It is only open 4 to 5 times each year to keep the grassland fresh and course in great maintained condition for the benefit of all riders – please check dates for the next ride.
Not only will you experience rolling Cheshire countryside but also views of the Sandstone Ridge, Shropshire Union Canal, various woodland including a protected wildlife site, field ponds and various crops including maize, wheat and conservation crops for farmland birds and brown hare – a wonderful environment to ride safely off road and experience true peace and tranquillity.
The jumps include small jumping rails, cross & telegraph poles, steps, water jumps and crossing, a row of brush steeplechase fences and hunt hedges – a real variety suitable for all levels of riders and remember they are
all optional, so you can make the decision on what you would like to jump!
The ride is well signposted off the nearby main roads of the A49 & A530 and when you arrive there is ample easy parking with separate entrance and exit on a large grass field suitable for all horse boxes and trailers alike.
(if it's wet – don't worry there is always a tractor on standby ready to tow you off!). |
